Hello! Thanks for checking out my very own WR blog! The first about me topic – I’ve never blogged before and I don’t really even share very much on social media in general, so please be gracious as I get used to everything.

I guess to start – I was born and raised in northern Louisiana, Ruston to be exact. I’m 28. I have one amazing sister and a pretty awesome BIL. Daughter to wonderful, loving parents. Graduated from Louisiana Tech in 2008 (Go Bulldogs!) with a BS in Biomedical engineering. I have lived in 3 different cities since graduating and each one I have found amazing church communities and friends who have definitely helped shape the person I am today. SO grateful. Currently, I live in SoCal working for the VA doing mostly project management-type stuff.

How I describe myself: textbook introvert, quiet, minimalist, realist, logistical, part-time vegan (I like cheese too much and sometime Chick-fil-a is just so good), runner….so on and so forth

Some of my interests: reading, Netflix, travel – anywhere and everywhere, cold weather, skiing, some sports – soccer, football, hockey, etc., hiking, camping, and hopefully soon backpacking, chocolate….oh and I have two adorable babies (aka cats).

My journey to the WR: I would say it started with a week-long mission trip to Nicaragua about 4 years ago. Starting this desire to see biblical justice – which in reality applies to us all. But I am trying to understand what that means and how I can be a part of that. I had been thinking about Peace Corps for a while but still didn’t like the idea of picking one place (at least not yet) for two years without really having experienced and understand more about the different needs around the world. I was and still am in the process of discovering what passions God has given me to pursue. When someone mentioned the WR and after a little research, I was sold. Being able to experience 3-4 completely different cultures, working in 11+ ministries around the world? All who are fulfilling God’s call to help bring peace, hope, and justice around the world in different ways? Count me in.

I see this trip/season as a beginning to what’s next. And I have no idea what that is but I fully expect God to help me understand better at some point along the way. I am beyond excited and can hardly wait!

That’s all I have for now….I’m sure there’s more but feel free to ask me anything else you want to know. Thanks again for visiting!

For His glory-

Pamela
