How do we effectively share our faith?
I had a discussion with my team on how to effectively share our faith. These are there thoughts on this prompt:
We need to stop complicating the gospel, its simple. Don’t come with intimidation or pride but meet them where they are at and present the good news with personal truth. Share your story, be completely vulnerable with how God has turned your world upside down. We should try to have a relationship with them because we are trying to present a relational God. It isn’t always a perfect formula of words and a direct instructional manual but listening to the prompting of the Holy Spirit. We are simply the vessel nothing we say or do it going to do anything but the power that is within us.
It is not just about the sit down conversation of sharing the gospel, its living out. You can share the gospel daily with the guy that gives you your coffee . Just by living out love you can share the gospel. Time and time again the Bible states just love. Out of all the gifts none of them matter if we don’t have love. No conversation or fancy formula matters if we doing know how to love people.
Living a life of the gospel means every time someone leaves your presence they would feel encouraged. Our motivation should be to make people feel worth and value. The gospel is good news and good news saves.
Sharing your faith is so much more then words. It is all about how we live. We are called to live with people, meet them where they are at and love them in that state. We should never be motivated by the number of conversations but motivated by the love that spills out of us.
