To my kiddos,
You guys have my entire heart. You guys have changed my world. I’d give my life for you guys. I love you forever and ever and ever. And I hope you know that. But more than anything I hope you know just how much Jesus loves you. I want you to truly understand that He loves you more than anyone else in your life and He will NEVER leave you behind. He loves you and knows who you are completely so be you. Jesus came into this world and died on the cross so that the mistakes you make don’t have to define who you are. They don’t have to keep you from who you are meant to be. They are forgiven and forgotten. (Just like your parents forgive you when you do something wrong and just like they would die so you didn’t have to. That’s what Jesus did.) He had to feel what it was like not to know God (His Dad) so that we didn’t have to, all so that we can have a friendship with Him eternally. He died for the things we did wrong so we can be free. He wants you to be free. He wants you to be free from the expectations this world puts on you. He wants you to have a friendship with Him. He wants you to know He is a dad that cares and never leaves. He wants you to talk to Him every single day about anything (it can be as simple as the weather or it can be as hard as your deepest secret). Just talk to Him. He will answer you, I promise. He just wants you to know He’s there and He’s cheering you on everday. He wants you to know you can like what you like and be 100% who you are and you will thrive. You will feel the best about yourself when you are being who you want to be and who Jesus has created you to be. You are so loved. You are beautiful. You are unique. You are like no other human on the planet. So be you. The world doesn’t need anyone else other than you. Choose what you like wisely and know what you want and Jesus is right there with you. Be kind to everyone. Some of your best friends will come from those you least expect. Love everyone you come in contact with. It’s important. It could change their life and yours.
Ella, Mia Bella, Liam, Olivia, Alyssa, Lily, Cameron, Parker, Meredith, Emily, Chloë, Giles, Julianna, Christian, Mia, Ellie, Pax, Livvy, Piper, Laslow, Ryan, Carissa, Alex, Jauquin, Benji, Olly, my 18 sweet kinders who are actually 1st graders now, and all the other kiddos who’ve changed my life my biggest prayer for you is that you don’t mold into what this world wants you to be. I pray you know Jesus and His deep, deep love for you. That you are who you want to be. My prayer is that you’re kind. You seek to know people and who they really are even if it’s someone you think is “weird.” I pray you don’t let that stop you from trying to be their friend. It could change their life….. and yours. I pray you make a difference (I know you will). I pray for your hearts to always be pure and filled with love. I pray Jesus is who you live for and no one else.
