Hey everybody! Its been a good while since Ive posted so I just want to fill you guys in on a few updates.
– I still cant tell anyone the exact plans for what is going to happen. Whether we launch as planned in September or we follow through with one of the contingency plans, I do not know. However, July 1 is when the official announcement comes out from Adventure in Missions with the plans of what is going to happen so stay tuned and I will let you know.
Now for the true meaning of this post… (drum roll pls)
I HAVE EXACTLY 90 DAYS BEFORE I LEAVE FOR THE RACE AND THIS IS GOING TO BE MY LAST FUNDRAISER FOR THIS JOURNEY!!!
So my last fundraiser for my missions trip going to Romania, South Asia and Costa Rica is going to be a WALKATHON. How do I help support you through a walkathon? Great question haha 😀 – basically you commit a certain amount of money to a mile before our walk, and however many miles we walk on that day, you times the amount you committed to how many miles we did. So let’s say I walk 26 miles (that’s my goal basically a marathon) and you committed $1 a mile, then at the end you would donate $26 to my WRGY.
It’s going to be on JUNE 7 (unless the forecast is rain) and I will be walking it with my mom and maybe a sister. Dad and my other sister will be supporting us through the mini van, bringing us food/water when needed. I only have $2,300 left to go to be fully funded so this is my fundraiser to end strong. If we actually do 26 miles and 88 people commit to $1 a mile, I will be fully funded!! But if $1 is too much just do 50c or even 25c. Every little bit helps. 😀 Thank you to everyone who has supported me so far I couldn’t have done this with out you all.
If anyone would like to join us at any point on our journey I would be thrilled to have you. It would be a great encouragement and we could talk and catch up as well. I will be updating everyone on THE DAY for every mile we finish and I will be taking pics and sharing my location with you all. (On insta and facebook)
Hebrews 12:1 says “ Let us run with endurance the race God has set out before us.” I thought this would be a great fundraiser to end my WRGY fundraising journey. So please don’t miss out and help me finish strong.
