Hello!
My name is Paige Canova, and I am from Ankeny, Iowa. I have a loving family including my mom, dad, brother, twin sister, and 4 four-legged friends! We all are very busy but love having time to spend together when possible.
I like to keep myself busy by being involved with my church, The Ridge. I teach kindergarteners on Sunday mornings, lead 8th and 9th graders and attend high school youth group on Wednesday nights, volunteer for events held at the church, provide childcare during classes, and more! Every time I go to my church, my mood instantly gets better making me feel even more at home. Spending all that time at church, I have gotten very close with many people at my church, especially my youth group which we call The Junkyard.
I am currently a senior at Ankeny Centennial High School. When I’m not in my classes or studying, I am often found cheering for varsity football games and wrestling meets, planning event at student council, working with National Honor Society, or helping plan inclusive events with a club called Circle of Friends.
I am very excited to go on the World Race Gap year and do more mission work. From the very first time I was able to do mission work, I fell in love with it! I love being the hands and feet of Jesus. I’ve gone on mission trips in Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, South Africa, and Uganda. I can’t wait to travel with the World Race doing more mission work next year!
