I have no idea how to write an "about me" section and I have never kept a blog so this will be a new adventure for me!

To start off, I was born and raised in Arkansas. No, it is not just a "hick" state. I am from the city more than from the country. I don't have a southern accent as you would expect. It is more neutral I would say.

I went on my first mission trip in the 9th grade. Since coming back from that trip I knew I would be doing some type of mission work the rest of my life. Although it wasn't clear as to what type until two years ago when I had the impression that I would be doing work outside of the U.S. for the most part.

Since high school I have been in an internship called TwentyFourSeven School of Ministry. I did my first two years in Arkansas and am now living in the warm state of Florida to finish up my third year of the program. Last summer (summer of 2012) I heard about the World Race from someone that goes to my church. After praying about it and talking to a few influential people in my life, I made the decision to apply.

Last week I got accepted and now I can officially be excited about the adventures that await!

The passage of scripture that I am going to stand on this year is Psalm 57:9-11.
It says, "I will praise you, O Lord, among the nations; I will sing of you among the peoples. For great is your love, reaching to the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be over all the earth."
