Hey yalllllllll (as my teammates say 😉 hehe )
So I will try my best to explain the past few days here in Honduras…so bare with me.
My squad of 50 people left Atlanta at 5 am and we landed in Tegucigalpa Honduras at about 12. Just my team then took a taxi to the bus station. Wow it was a sight though. We were surrounded by these beautiful mountains, and then took a taxi to the bus station in town. Nobody followed the road rules, so that was a bit cray cray. We got to the bus station and could barely speak to anyone because we didn’t know Spanish very well as a whole group..a few of us can, better than me for sure…But meeting some friendly locals helped us out a lot. We finally got on the bus and made it to our host ministries site at about midnight. We are right outside the town of Pene Blanca. We had an exaughsting travel day, but finally made it. The next morning we woke up to the mountains surrounding our house. The house we are staying in has a common area with a couch, where the bugs do get in…but hey it’s nice. We have a couple hammocks on the porch so that’s perfect for reading and having quiet time in the morning. We then had a mini orientation with our ministry hosts, and then got to meet the girls we will be teaching and working with for the next month. We have also had team time each night and talk about the day, and just enjoy each other’s company. We went grocery shopping, and went into town to get on the bus…where we definitely got jipped by the bus driver because we are American. But ya can’t really do anything about it. BTW the roads are crazy here. First were in the mountains, so it’s a lot of up and down, and left and right. We rode in a Tuk Tuk to town one day too, a tiny bike with about two seats, but we fit four…and then the driver got pulled over. Honestly, it was kinda funny but I felt bad for the guy driving because he got a ticket. Our second day we went kyacking in the middle of the mountains. Honestly, it was soooo beautiful. My team and I were just in awe of God’s beauty. Like this place is so different than America, but I have already realized so many things I do not need to live. And we are already being so spoiled. We have a HOT SHOWER. Like that’s amazing. We also having a running toilet so that’s pretty cool too. It was a holiday the day we got here so we have had the first three days off here just to relax which has been super nice. On Monday we start our ministry…so I will have to keep you updated with that once it starts. Every morning we will have worship with the girls, and then be teaching them various different things. Ranging from English, cooking, PE, helping them keep up on homework, and keeping them company. The ministry seems great, so I’m super excited for it.
Throughout the past couple days, I have already grown so much with the lord, and I’m so thankful for the community of my team with me. There has been so much that God is showing me too, whether it’s by the people with me, the people we have met, or the experiences we have had so far. All I gotta say is…God is so so good!
Love you all, and will hopefully have another blog soon about what God is doing with my ministry and through myself and my teammates.

P.S. Sorry for the grammar mistakes…I typed this pretty fast while I had wifi. So it’s not the greatest writing
