Hey Everyone! Welcome to my WR blog. I'm excited to share my journey with you, while also having an outlet for my every thought. Watch out world, this stuff is going to be on the internet…FOREVER. Oh, the power. I just hope it doesn't go to my head.
Well, I am about to embark on the craziest, most adventurous, amazing thing in my entire life… The World Race. I'll be traveling to 11 different countries in 11 months and following Jesus along the way. That still sounds insane when I say it outloud. I'm leaving my job, my family, my friends, and not to mention the country I've lived in for my entire life. Talk about stepping out of my comfort zone. But I've realized through this process that when you have faith, real faith, it will make you do pretty much anything.
I'm not exactly Bear Grylls so you can imagine my surprise when God called me to this trip. I don't remember the exact dialogue I had with God on making a decision but I believe it went something like this:
Me: "Are you sure I should be doing this?"
God: "It will be good, I promise."
Me: "Yeah ok, that's what they said in the 60s about Nixon. AND the 80s
about mullets. And the 90s about the Macarena. And we both know how they turned
out."
God: "Trust me."
And here I go. I will be traveling all over the world to the Phillippines, China, India, Nepal, Swaziland, Mozambique, South Africa, Moldova, Romania, Haiti, and the Dominican Republic. It's going to be quite the adventure and I can't do it without your support. You can do this through donation (on this site) and through prayer. I will be working hard both physically and spiritually so I will need all the prayers possible. You can also contact me for other ways to support me (I've got a few creative ones in mind). You can never have too much help!
So follow me through the different countries, cultures, faith groups as I do my part to bring the kingdom "on earth as it is in Heaven." It's going to be good…. He promised.
