I have so much in my life to be thankful for. I have been blessed beyond measure. Today I was 6 million miles away from my family yet I didn’t feel lacking. God blessed me abundently today. I was able to share the day with my new family, and I even got pumpkin pie. To start off my thankful list, I’ll say that I am thankful that I have God. I am thankful for His love. It is the most amazing thing in the world. It is the reason I am even here. Without Him, I am not. Especially without his love. That is the most important thing in the entire world. It was this that saved me. I know I don’t think about it as much as I should or thank Him enough for it, but it really is the most important thing in the entire world. His love. Actually, it is Him. He is above all.
He is the whole reason. Everything was created by Him and for Him. So life without Him just doesn’t make any sense. So first and for most I am thankful for Him. Nothing elese really compares to Him. He is so good, and He has blessed me with so many things to be thankful for. I would really like to live a thankful life. I want to always remember to be thankful every moment. In one single second of life, I have countless things to thank God for.
I am thankful for my breath.
I am thankful for the beat of my heart.
I am thankful for my legs to walk.
I am thankful for my mind, and thoughts.
I am thankful for freedom.
I am thankful for the ability to speak.
I am thankful for laughter and smiles.
I am thankful for children, and there inocence.
I am thankful for the embrace of someone you love or care about.
I am thankful for a glass of clean cool water on a hot day.
I am thankful for the presence of the Holy Spirit in my life.
I am thankful for my sight.
I am thankful for friends.
I am thankful for family, and a really good one at that.
I am thankful for amazing health.
I am thankful for the pain of a good run.
I am thankful for tears.
I am thankful for love.
I am thankful for flowers and the beauty they posses.
I am thankful for bonfires in fall.
I am thankful for the stars that light up the night sky.
I am thankful for travel, and new sights to see.
I am thankful for grace.
I am thankful for forgiveness.
I am thankful for the warmth of the sun on my skin.
I am thankful for my Mom.
I am thankful for my Dad.
I am thankful for water, rivers and streams that flow.
I am thankful for rain beating down on a tin roof.
I am thankful for SNOW!! and I miss it too.
I am thankful for rest.
I am thankful for a good cup of Ethiopia coffee.
I am thankful for beauty.
I am thankful for music, and singing.
I am thankful for life.
As you can see, this list could continue forever. I am never without thankfulness and I want to live that way. I want to always be thankful. I want to be in the worst situation ever thought and still be thankful. You can always find something to be thankful for.
Lastly I am thankful for my Ethiopia Thanksgiving. It was like none other I have ever had. I am thankful for the people that surround me this year. I am thankful for the friends that have I met while on my travels. I am thankful that I am able to be here. All praise and thanks be to God my Father.
