Mere days are left before the final goodbyes must be said. These last few weeks I have hardly had time to sit and ponder the pool I am about to jump into. I think this is a blessing, keeping busy helps me not go crazy. I am finalizing last minute things and working on packing. I have a lot to do in these last few days.
So this is me. I have come to the realization that maybe, just maybe I might have too much to stuff. Not really sure how all this is going to fit. Wish me luck.
Quick update on funds. I bet you have noticed the fund raising bar at the top of my blog. I bet you are wondering why in the heck did it jump up to $16,200. Don't worry, I will explain. Adventures in Missions has given us the option of choosing to find insurance on our own or going with the insurance they found. I decided to go with the one they found. I trust they have found the best deal out there for keeping us insured and safe on the trip. (This is not there first rodeo.) Although the plan they had was a little more expensive, they have allowed for us to raise the funds for the insurance. That is why the cost went up. This insurance plan is a new thing, that is why we had the option to choose our own if we wanted. For future trips, you will be required to purchase the insurance they found.
On another note. I have a race this weekend!! Race number 9. I have no idea which county I run for this weekend. I have learned that with missions, you must be flexible. My list of countries has changed several times so I can't keep it all stright. But tomorrow morning at 8am in Cumberland I will run a 5K for missions. I have run this race before, actually it is a yearly event that I participate in.
It is Rutabaga weekend. I get to go up to Cumberland with Ryan and his family for the "Rutabaga Festival." His Grandma has a cabin on the lake up there and this is a weekend they plan for every year. I am so excited. Excited beyond belief for this weekend. In reality, I have only 2 weekend left before I go. I am going to take each minute of these weekend and suck every ounce out of them. I don't want to miss a moment.
Thank you for all your support.
Love,
Paige
