Race number 3 is coming soon! I will run in the Puddle Jump 5K, in Eau Claire on Saturday April 20th! The race begins at 9 am in Phoenix Park. This race is to benefit Longfellow Elementary school, and all proceeds go to Longfellow student scholarships for community programs, and for the after school program, Community Learning Center.
As I was giving blood on Tuesday, a lady noticed my shirt, which was from the Valentines day 5K, and informed me of this race! I can't believe how many different races there are just in the E.C. area. Becoming involved in running races helps me to become aware of the different needs of the community and it gives me a chance to do what I love, and help support several organizations here in the community. What a deal! It is like a win win situation!
Race number 3 is for the Philippines.
