Who would have thought we could be Power Rangers for God.  This past week we got to do just that.  We used our powers for good.  We were the hands and feet that served at the Festival.

(I claimed the yellow one.)

This Festival lasted for 2 day, but the setup for it began days before that.  Me along with 4 other Rangers suited up for some manual labor for the Kingdom of God.  We had several tasks give to us, which we fearlessly tackled.  This included pounding stakes into the ground for several sections of fencing, setting up VIP seating, and helping the stage crew move things around and getting things set up.

When everything was set in place, it was time for the festival to begin.  Once the festival began, the mighty power rangers upgraded there power.  We were all handed back stage, all access, gold badge passes.  That’s right, all access.  It was an honor to receive such a badge.  With this badge we were all granted access back stage.

I enjoyed watching the entire festival unfold from behind the scenes.  I have never experienced such a thing.  They used our extra set of eyes to help with security.

This Festival included a BMX bike group, several hit singers, a gospel choir from the U.S., a professional Motocross guy, and even a preacher.  The goal behind the festival was to show God’s love and spread the gospel to the people of Ethiopia.

I think my favorite part of the whole thing was these 2 young men I got to meet.  They showed up on the first day of setup to help with the generator.  Everyday they showed up to make sure we got power for the festival.  They have a special place in my heart.  God is doing a good thing in there lives.  I am sad I only had a few days with them, but I just know He is doing a good work in them.

I also got the chance to meet 2 other incredible young men.  Abenezer and Sean.  You have to check out what these two are up to.  They shared with us there vision for a skatepark in Ethiopia.  Abenezer grew up here and started skating at a young age.  He wants to give other young people to have the same opportunity.  They thing that really impresses me is there reckless pursuit of this dream.  Abenezer is only 17 years old, yet he knows his dream and he is making it happen.  It is incredible and it inspires me.

I really desire for these two to succeed in there vision.  I ask you all to pray for them.  I also ask that you check out there website and if you feel lead, support them.  They just started this and are in the beginning stages.  I see big things for them, it might not be in the way they want, but I know that God will use that drive and “Go for it” attitude.  It is the exact recklessness God asks of us.  Trusting in Him and just running after Him.
