Welcome to the World Race! I am going to do everything I can to deepen my relationship with Jesus Christ, dive into faith like I never have before, open my heart before God to be transformed, and secure my understanding of why my complete worth is found in Him alone! I have truly felt Him call me toward the World Race. I am very excited about this opportunity I have been given. God has given me complete peace about going and so I have chosen to surrender my life to Him. Romans 15:13 inspires me, “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
Here are some things I expect will happen as God works in and through me during the World Race.
1.) I 100% expect Christ to wreck my life as I know it now. I do not know how or in what way this will be done, but I know I will come back a stronger woman of God.
2.) This trip will continue to show me that the only relationship I NEED is one with Jesus Christ. I have already been realizing this after going through a breakup, but I know God has more to show me in this area of my relationship with Him.
3.) God has given me a beautiful gift to love and serve others. I am overly excited to see how He will use me.
4.) 11 months will be spent meeting people of all different cultures with each person being created uniquely in the image of God. How amazing it will be to see and touch His people at all ends of the earth!
5.) Matthew 28:19-20. How wonderful it will be to follow God’s Great Commission.
6.) I will be a part of a team of other believers who will challenge each other, encourage each other, and grow together. I am sure this will be painful as we peel back the layers that harden our heart and in turn allow God to transform us individually as He sees needed, but also extremely rewarding.
7.) These 11 months will stretch me. I will be removed from my comfort zone and pushed to get my strength daily from the Lord.
