Hey how have you been? I know its been a while since I’ve written something for you and I’m sorry about that but let me catch you up with this month and whats to come:)
This month in Armenia has been something else. I have to say its felt more like home than any other country and I think thats because we had a bit more freedom here than past countries. The liberty to go out for walks, sit down at a coffee shop, or even just being able to go to a church service to receive.
I’ve had the honor of meeting some awesome (I wish I had better words to describe them by) people. Whether it was someone at the hostel, the streets, or church they have all left an imprint on me.
I had the opportunity to get to know a couple and another gentleman from Iran. They shared how life was so different and controlled there. How the media portrays Americans to them is the same way they get portrayed to us. Speaking to them I was able to see a greater need as a whole. They are stuck in a place where they have been betrayed by others and their own and are now in a position on seeking. What is it that they are seeking? Freedom? Something to trust in? I don’t know what it is that they truly desire. All I know is that the gospel we have is the one thing that can help them figure out what it is that they are seeking and it is a time that the soil is thirsty and ready to revive that gospel.
What does a family from South African, the UK, and Armenian Americans have in common? They are all doing ministry here in Yerevan! I had the honor of meeting these delightful families while going to the International church here. I have been encouraged so much from listening to them speak and having conversations with them about life, ministry, the gifts of the spirit, God and so much more. To be able to encounter other people who live their lives on the edge doing ministry for life is encouraging. I know that God has called me to a life like theirs and seeing others who have families and bigger responsibilities than me at this point living their lives with faith and trust in the Lord is like new building blocks I’m able to add to my own house.
As this month comes to an end (we leave on Friday) we walk into a new month with a new country and a new team. We are now only three months away from stepping on familiar soil and thats kinda scary. I don’t know if I’ve already told you but I will only be in the states for six months before I embark an a new adventure where God is leading me to (G42). Six months of the unknown.
On another note I did some math (Im not good at math but I swear these numbers are right). I am only $534 to be fully funded. How does that work if my WR blog says Im at $16,436? So I added up the amount of money that will come in the next three months and all that left is $534!!! How great is God!! If you feel so ever moved to give that about left please do so:) Your partner ship is what allows this mission of God to continue.

¿Hola, cómo has estado? Sé que ha pasado un tiempo desde que escribí algo para ti y lo lamento, pero déjame encontrarte este mes y lo que está por venir 🙂
Este mes en Armenia ha sido otra cosa. Debo decir que se siente más como en casa que en cualquier otro país y creo que eso es porque tuvimos más libertad aquí que en países anteriores. La libertad de salir a caminar, sentarse en una cafetería o simplemente poder ir a un servicio religioso para recibir.
He tenido el honor de conocer a algunas personas increíbles (me gustaría tener mejores palabras para describirlas por). Ya sea que haya alguien en el albergue, las calles o la iglesia, todos han dejado una huella en mí.
Tuve la oportunidad de conocer a una pareja y otro caballero de Irán. Compartieron cómo la vida era tan diferente y controlada allí. La forma en que los medios de comunicación los retratan a los estadounidenses es la misma forma en que nos los presentan. Hablando con ellos, pude ver una mayor necesidad en conjunto. Están atrapados en un lugar donde han sido traicionados por otros y por los suyos y ahora están en posición de buscar. ¿Qué es lo que están buscando? ¿Libertad? ¿Algo en lo que confiar? No sé qué es lo que realmente desean. Lo único que sé es que el Evangelio que tenemos es lo único que puede ayudarles a descubrir qué es lo que están buscando y es un momento en que el suelo está sediento y listo para revivir ese Evangelio.
¿Qué tienen en común una familia de los sudafricanos, el Reino Unido y los estadounidenses armenios? ¡Todos están haciendo el ministerio aquí en Ereván! Tuve el honor de conocer a estas encantadoras familias mientras asistía a la iglesia internacional aquí. Me ha animado mucho escucharlos hablar y conversar con ellos sobre la vida, el ministerio, los dones del espíritu, Dios y mucho más. Ser capaz de encontrar a otras personas que viven sus vidas al límite haciendo ministerio para la vida es alentador. Sé que Dios me ha llamado a una vida como la de ellos y ver a otras personas que tienen familias y mayores responsabilidades que yo en este momento, vivir sus vidas con fe y confianza en el Señor es como nuevos bloques de construcción que puedo agregar a mi casa.
A medida que este mes llega a su fin (nos vamos el viernes) entramos en un nuevo mes con un nuevo país y un nuevo equipo. Ahora estamos a solo tres meses de pisar tierra conocida y eso es un poco aterrador. No sé si ya te lo he dicho, pero solo estaré en los Estados Unidos durante seis meses antes de embarcarme en una nueva aventura a la que Dios me está guiando (G42). Seis meses de lo desconocido.
En otra nota hice algunas matemáticas (no soy bueno en matemáticas pero juro que estos números son correctos). Solo tengo $ 534 para ser financiado en su totalidad. ¿Cómo funciona eso si mi blog WR dice Im a $ 16,436? ¡Así que sumé la cantidad de dinero que vendrá en los próximos tres meses y todo lo que queda es $ 534! ¡Qué grande es Dios! Si te sientes tan conmovido por dar algo sobre la izquierda, por favor hazlo 🙂 Su nave compañera es lo que permite que esta misión de Dios continúe.
