So I will officially be leaving to Colombia in about 19 days!! I’ll be heading to Atlanta on the 5th of October for two or three days of workshops and preparation for the trip itself.
I don’t know if I’ve already shared this but I was chosen to be my teams “StoryTeller”! What does that mean? Well I’m glad you ask! My my job is to encouraging my teammates to keep on writing and sharing their experiences with you all!! Sharing not only our own experiences but also the stories of the people that we come to know and what God is doing on the field. To be able to not only do ministry on the filed but also ministry through our writing, videos, and art for the people back home is a blessing.
On another note I finally gots some information on where we will be in Colombia!!
So here it is, the city we will be in is……..drum roll please….…. San Pedro! We will be working with Ministerio Nueva Vida and our host’s name is Pastor William Diaz Buritica. We can expect to spend time in various prisons doing ministry there, doing evangelism, youth ministry, and church ministry (helping Pastor William Diaz Buritica and the church in whatever they need form the day to day to their services).
This is all the information we have as of now but things can be added to out agenda at any moment.
A short update with my life here in California up until I leave. My last day at work will be next Friday. I am sad to be leaving the kids that I’ve grown to know and love and my coworker. I’m happy to be leaving because I’ve been bored to death this last month being front desk. My last week here will be me getting ready for the trip; making sure I have everything and not packing to much. Also spending time with family and friends, eating the food that I love and will miss while out of the country, and going to the places where I am free and lost at the same time.
Fundraising update: I have 3 days to raise $1,350 to reach my September deadline and then reach $13,000 in October. I don’t know how God is going to provide this and even though I’m scared and stressed I choose to trust and believe him.
God is good and worthy to be praised. He truly fills my soul with joy you guys. I pray that God blesses you with a life full of joy. That Holy Spirit moves in and through you in the everyday and that you get to know Jesus in a new and magnificent way; like never before.

I know God has some great things in store not just for me but also YOU!! He cares about you and I know he will speak to you through the stories that we come across and share. No sé si ya he compartido esto, pero me eligieron para ser ele”StoryTeller” de mi equipo. ¿Qué significa eso? Bueno, me alegra que preguntes. Mi trabajo es alentar a mis compañeros a seguir escribiendo y compartiendo sus experiencias con todos ustedes! Compartir no solo nuestras propias experiencias sino también las historias de las personas que conocemos y lo que Dios está haciendo en el campo. Es una bendición poder no solamente ministrar en otro países sino también ministrar a través de nuestros escritos, videos, y arte para la gente de casa.
En otra nota, finalmente obtengo información sobre dónde estaremos en Colombia.
Así que aquí está, la ciudad en la que estaremos es … … rollo de tambor por favor …. …. ¡San Pedro! Trabajaremos con Ministerio Nueva Vida y nuestro anfitrión se llama el pastor William Diaz Buritica. Podemos esperar pasar tiempo en varias cárceles haciendo ministerio allí, haciendo evangelismo, ministerio juvenil y ministerio de la iglesia (ayudando al Pastor y a la iglesia en todo lo que necesitan para formar sus servicios día a día).
Esta es toda la información que tenemos hasta ahora, pero cosas se pueden agregar a nuestra agenda en cualquier momento.
Una breve actualización con mi vida aquí en California hasta que me vaya. Mi último día de trabajo será el próximo viernes. Estoy triste de dejar a los niños que he llegado a conocer y amar y a mi compañero de trabajo. Estoy feliz de irme porque el mes pasado me aburrí hasta la muerte. Mi última semana aquí me prepararé para el viaje; asegurándome de tener todo y no empacar demasiado. También pasar tiempo con mi familia y amigos, comiendo la comida que amo y extrañaré mientras estoy fuera del país, y yendo a los lugares donde me siento libre y perdido al mismo tiempo.
Actualización de recaudación de fondos: Tengo 3 días para recaudar $ 1,350 para llegar a mi fecha límite de Septiembre y luego llegar a $ 13,000 en Octubre. No sé cómo Dios va a proporcionar esto y aunque estoy asustado y estresado elijo confiar y creerle.
Dios es bueno y digno de ser alabado. Él realmente llena mi alma de alegría. Oro que Dios les bendiga con una vida llena de alegría que Espíritu Santo se mueve en ti y a través de ti en lo cotidiano y que llegas a conocer a Jesús de una manera nueva y magnífica; como nunca antes.
