This month one of our ministries was helping teachers at a private Special Needs school called Nazareth.
I had my heart stolen on the very first day. I walked into the class, Miss Angela had me introduce myself to the class and the class to me and that was all it took, introductions and hugs. YES HUGS!!
She proceeded to showing me how I could help and asked me why I was there, so I told her I am a missionary and he faced lit up, She told me how much Jesus is her life and how much she loves Him, that He was her everything and her first love (Thank you google translate) and that was the beginning of my being stolen by not only children in the class I was helping but from all the classes in that school.
Fernando, the cool cat, gets his work done and proceeds to head over to the arts classroom. He is very bright, charming, loves sports, music but loves art and peace.
I call him, macho man, he basically runs the school haha, He is in charge of ringing the bell, He walks around the school and checks in on the classrooms, he was probably in my classroom more than any of the other kids. He is hilarious and tries to act tough but selfies always bring out a persons soft side.
llermo and Christ (aka the class next door, aka runners)
The best friends, they are in the class room next to mine and we would play head, shoulders, ears and hugs (yes I made it up & yes I was probably distracting them but the teacher was grateful, she had more time to teach the others since I was distracting these two through the window hehe, I win)
The brains of his class (nope hes wasn’t in my classroom but we met when I had to go get Antonio out of his class). He is always at the board answering reading questions and doing math. (I spy through the class window during my time of head, shoulders, ears and hugs).
Breakfast time with Fernando and Victor (yellow shirt) both ACT like they are too cool for school but they love learning, music, soccer and pretending not to like selfies but we all know, I don’t take no for a selfie.
Antonio, You’ve met him (if you haven’t well, I will give you time to go read my previous blog, I’ll wait)…He took the cake, well my heart. My second day at the school, he just hugged me, like a real hug, my heart stopped and melted. He is joyful, loves to draw and do anything with art or his hands.
Come on look at that SMILE…I had too
Found Fernando in….the art class with his pals. Told y’all no one can hide from a good selfie, especially from the selfie Queen!!!
This selfie Queen still needs your help!!! (I know, I know this isn’t a selfie, the poster is too big to get it into a selfie).
I am sooo very close to being fully funded, all I need is all the bubbles on this poster to be popped!!! What does that mean, it means if you choose a bubble and donate the amount in the bubble (70=$70).
If every bubble is popped than I will be FULLY FUNDED & will continue The World Race and not be at risk for being sent home early.
By clicking on DONATION or the orange donate button on the top right hand corner of this blog.
**ALL DONATIONS ARE TAX DEDUCTIBLE**
Thank you soo much for giving and being part of such a huge part of my journey!!!
