Hola de Guatemala,
Ahhh its month 2 and so much amazing things have happened! This month is ALL SQUAD month, that’s right, all 25 of us are living in community together (I’m writing another blog about my experience). This month we are broken into triads (groups of 3) that are not our usual team.
My ministry this month looks different everyday (which is a blessing from God). On Sunday’s we go into the towns center and feed the homeless, alcoholics and shoe shiners. On Monday’s we hold a Bible study for them, we break the group into children and adults. Tuesday’s we go into Antigua (a nearby town not the island) and love on the homeless there. Wednesday’s we have Women’s Ministry , y’all know this is my jam!! & here is where my Holy Spirit found her Best friend (another blog will explain this and my excitement). Saturday’s we have the kiddies, and have Bible study with them and love on them the way Jesus would. My favorite part of all of this besides feeding everyone delish food at the end of the night. Is this organization is family ran..mother, son and her three daughters (talk about blessings)

Chelsea, one of my squad mates joined us this week for the kiddies Bible study, we went along with one of the volunteers to go pick up the neighborhood kids, while waiting for the kiddies to get dress, one of the moms came out with the most cuties adorable looking puppy and bunny!! My heart almost burst from pure joy!
In this moment I just God saying you are more than enough and you deserve to be filled with joy that your joy cup overflows. Y’all I almost dropped my phone, that’s how excited and overwhelmed I was.
One of the host (I secretly want their mom to adopt me, I haven’t figured out how to say it in Spanish and not sound too crazy) singing happy birthday for one of the amazing students, He comes in early every Saturday, help set up, pick up the other children and clean up at the end.
Mark 10:14 When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.
Psalm 127:3-5 Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their opponents in court.
Guatemala I’m leaving peace with you and taking joy!!
