Over the weekend I have been on a trip with my youth group and I realized I wasn’t completely ready to let God into every part of my life.

Going into my senior year I have had many people ask me what my plans for the school year were. My answer was always the same, ASL internship and prepare for Gap Year. Before I decided to say yes to Gap Year my life plan was to become a sign language interpreter, but God had other plans. This internship was giving me a feeling like it was the last bit of control I had over my future.

After spending a weekend with my church family I realized what I had always known deep down, and that is that I need to let go and trust God’s plan. After a lot of praying and talking to members of the church staff I will spending my senior year focusing on ministry and interning at my home church.
