Hello all! Thank you so much for taking the time to check out my blog. I am SO excited to see how God moves through me, my team, and around us in Africa, and it just means so much more that I get to share this journey with you! So a little about me, I was born and raised in Augusta, Georgia! Was a travel soccer kid all my life until that all changed when I was 15 years old. I went through a career ending injury that left me clueless as to what I wanted to do with my life following the incident. After two surgeries and years of physical therapy, soccer wasn’t my main priority anymore. During this time I was able to devote my attention to my studies, and I got involved in church again. Quest church became our new home, and I went on my first mission trip to Belize with them the following summer. The trip was life changing and I knew that a big part of my heart belonged to international missions! Over the years, missions has definitely become a big passion of mine which obviously led me to this. Another part of me that is super important to who I am is my support system! I am very close with my family, and they have made me into who I am today, I have also been blessed with so many people in addition to family that love me such as friends, mentors, and teachers, and I am so grateful for them. I am currently 19 years old, I love spending time with my family and friends, whether that’s hanging out at home or in town! I love doing anything outdoors! Some of my favorite outdoor activities include hiking, fishing, hunting, kayaking, or paddle boarding. I also love getting to hang out with little ones, I babysit quite often and I love every minute of it! I am currently a full-time first year student at the University of Georgia, studying communications while on the pre-med track as well! I love getting to live in Athens and cheer on the Dawgs! It has been a great experience so far, and I again know that I wouldn’t be where I am without my past. He has lit a passion for serving others within me, and changed the course of my future. I am so thankful for what God has done in my life, and I can see all the good that He has done through things that looked broken at the time. I know that He will continue to work in this way, and I am so thankful for how GOOD he really is.
