I Love you. You’ve got this. You know enough

– bob goff

This quote has been on my heart recently and I would love to share with you what the Lord has shown me through it. This quote comes from a book called “Everybody Always” by Bob Goff. I brought this book on my trip in hopes I would have time to read it and I have ! Yesterday, I was reading and came across this quote and it has stuck with me. The context of this quote is the Lord speaking to us as we step out into what He has called us to do. As Bob talks about this quote he also states that “God doesn’t give us all the details, because he trusts us.“ When I read that, it really hit home for me as I thought about how I felt coming into this trip. I had fear of the unknown. I knew that the Lord was calling me into this season yet I worried about what would happen when I listened to him. I wanted all the details of my life but the Lord knew that was not what I needed. He kept quiet and honestly I did not understand it at the time. If he had the answers why couldn’t he just let me know?

When I look back at myself a few months ago I think of how silly it was for me to think that way. Yes, it’s human nature to be scared when we do not know what’s going to happen but the Lord is always there saying “You know enough.” He gives us exactly what is needed, nothing less and nothing more.

The Lord equips you with all you need in every season of life. In our minds we may look at ourselves and think, “Does the Lord know who He’s talking to? Cause I am not ready for that.” Yet the Lord trusts (believes in) you and knows you are ready. When the Lord calls you to step out He’s never going to leave you alone. When you take those steps forward even if it’s a little at the time, He is right there cheering you on cause he knows “You’ve got this.” I feel like the Lord loves to put us in situations where He knows our automatic response will be that we are not ready. I just picture the Lord being like, “Hey Noah (or whoever he is hangin with in heaven) watch this. She’s going to freak out at first but then she’s going to remember who her Father is and who’s walking with her through it all”. I know personally that’s what I do. I will catch my self in a situation that may be uncomfortable or stretching for me and my first thought is to run. Then I stop and I remember, “He loves me. I’ve got this. I know enough.” If the Lord never put us in uncomfortable situations how would we ever grow?

If I would have stayed home where I felt comfortable, yes the Lord would still have been with me and working through me but I would have missed out on all He had for me here. The Lord does not call us to stay comfortable. He wants us to push ourselves and reminds us that we must be fully dependent on Him. If we try to do it alone we will fail, but as soon as we realize who we have walking with us it is a total game changer. The same power that rose Jesus from the grave lives in us! LIKE WHAT ?¿!! BLOWS MY MIND EVERY TIME but it is such powerful truth. As soon as we start believing the truth about ourselves we begin to see how much the Lord can and is using us.

I encourage you to speak this quote over yourself! Any time you are feeling like you are not up to the task just simply say “He loves me. I’ve got this. I know enough”. Speaking out truth is such a powerful tool the Lord gives us. Once we speak it out the enemy has no hold over us. I love to think how mad the devil gets when he realizes he has lost the battle. He knows no matter how hard he tries he can no longer touch me cause I am a daughter of the most high king! I am protected by the Lord and nothing can beat that.
