Hey friends ! I know it’s been awhile since I have written, so here’s something I would love to share with y’all !

As you all know, during my time here in the Philippines I have been living in a house with 14 other girls! Let me just tell you that the Lord blessed me with the most amazing sisters. We are all so different from each other, yet we blend so well!

Yes, we might only have two bathrooms.

Yes, somehow every time I have to go to the bathroom both are always full 🙂

Yes, our rooms may be very small and all of our stuff might be on the floor.

Yes, we don’t have air condition and yes, we might sweat all the time.

Yes, we have disagreements.

Yes, our patience is tested with each other.

But through all of this all my girls are the most loving, caring, understanding, genuine, and Jesus loving people you will ever meet. The Lord placed us all together and He did a bomb job at it (I mean obviously, because He’s the bomb.com). The Lord blessed me with 14 new sisters. I know they will always be there for me, pray with me, cry with me, uplift me, and never fail to point me back to Christ.

So much love fills our house. While living together for almost a month and a half now, I have received love from each of my teammates in the most simple but touching ways. Here’s some examples of what love looks like in my house!

Someone washing my dishes after a meal just because they are that sweet.

Someone hanging my clothes on the clothes line for me without even being asked.

Helping a sister out by bringing me toilet paper when I  get stuck in the bathroom with none.(happens a lot more than you would think)

Sharing SNACKS !!

Not even hesitating to pay for my trike ride when I realize I have no change or small bills.

That one person that always gets up early and makes coffee for everyone else!

Washing the lice out of my hair! (true love right there!)

That one person that cleans the kitchen when everyone else is resting !

Giving me a piece of gum after I ate a fried chicken head and highly regretted it!

Sharing clothes with me when all my clothes are dirty.

Telling me I look cute even when I have not showered in a few days 🙂

All of these things may seem small and silly, but let me tell you they are SO BIG ! I don’t go one day without feeling love from my team. I see Jesus in each of my teammates as we go out and do ministry, but what’s so cool is that it does not stop when we get home. Ministry continues within our home! My teammates are constantly ministering to me. Wether it’s sharing with me what the Lord is doing in their life, or it’s taking time out of their day to ask me what the Lord is showing me in mine. Sometimes it looks like a hug when I am having a bad day, or a smile in the morning at the breakfast table.

I think sometimes we forget that our everyday life is ministry. Jesus calls us to love others just as He does, and that in itself is ministry. When we treat others around us like Jesus would, we are shining the light He has placed inside of us. Your ministry never has to look the same as your neighbors. Yes, right now I am in the Philippines, but your ministry could look completely different yet it shares the same power. Ministry can look as simple as asking a stranger in target how their day is, sharing a smile with someone you pass on the street, or talking to that one person at work that you may not get along with so well.

It is really easy for me and I am sure all of you, to go through the motions and not even stop and ask the Lord what His will is for the day. We get so caught up in our schedules and day to day life that we pass over many opportunities the Lord places in front of us to share His love. I challenge you, every morning when you wake up to simply asked the Lord what ministry He has in store for you. Ask the Lord to open your eyes, ears, and heart so that when the opportunity comes along you do not just walk past. Instead you stop and acknowledge that the Lord is bringing to light exactly what you prayed for. It could be something small or something life changing, but you will never know until you ask Him!

Matthew 21:22 “And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.”
