Hey hey family and friends! Hope you are all having a great summer. I am finally getting some warm weather after being in the cold of Chile and Bolivia’s fall.

After 2 days of travel, 4 flights, and one night on an airport floor our squad is now in Eastern Europe. Being in a country with a different language than Spanish like our past 5 countries is weird. Honestly, I didn’t realize how much Spanish I was catching on to until I got here and started telling people “Si” or “No entende” who CLEARLY didn’t speak Spanish.

Not only that but for the past few months we’ve always had at least one of us who understood and spoke a little of the local language anywhere we went (market, take a taxi, ect.). But here, notta… So it’s pretty interesting. Thank God for translators during ministry.

Anyway, as many of you know I was offered a position of leadership in our squad. After a month of praying deeply and listening to the Lord, I have decided to step down from that position. And am completely confident and excited for what God has planned!

I am now on a team of 8! That makes us the biggest team on our squad! I am so excited to do life with these 7 amazing ladies.

For the beginning of the month we are in Bulgaria working with a baptist church. Here, we are visiting homes of families with special needs children and teaching English classes to people of the community. Also we got the privilege of being part of “Clean Bulgaria” Day this past Saturday!

We cleaned up around both of the church sites and parking lots. Our picture ended up being on the news, stating: “Americans clean up Bulgaria.” We got a kick out of this and our host told us to call them when we clean up America.

This month we have the opportunity to go to two countries in one month. In a little less than a week we leave to go to Kosovo. Here we will partner with Hope Center where they strive to be the light of Jesus to hurting, helpless, and forgotten people. We will do things such as prayer walks, worship services, youth nights, and kid’s ministry.

When I signed up for the World Race and chose this route, I originally wanted to do another route because I DID NOT want to got to Kosovo. There was something about it that just didn’t sit right with me. After talking to Jesus about it, I knew that’s where he wanted me to go.

A month or 2 later, Kosovo got taken off our route. You would think I would be happy, but actually I was sad. I had finally gotten over my fear and was excited for the plan God had. When I found out that one team would be going to Kosovo this month and that I was going to be part of that team, I was beyond excited!

Kosovo has been on my heart since signing up for the race so I am so excited to see where this month leads and share with y’all!

Thanks all again for all your prayers, support, and encouragement!! I hope you all have an amazing summer!!
