God always has the perfect timing for everything. He knows best and sometimes it's hard for us to understand. Knowing that at the end of our time in India there were going to be possible team changes I was already nervous. I was comfortable and loved my girls. I had built friendships and worked through things with this team. When the day finally came I knew I was not ready. I heard each team leader announce their team members. Change.
For the next couple of days I processed through what this team would be like and how God was going to use us as a team. He is going to do great things with this team.I am going to miss my Sozo girls, but He knew we needed change. We were complacent and becoming lazy. This season is going to be a season of letting go.
As we discussed what to name our new team we had many similar things come to mind. We all pictured us dancing with Jesus with our eye fixed on His and our feet following His lead. We want to know what it means to be romanced by our lover. We also thought about the story of David when he rips off his clothes and dances in praise to the Lord. He didn't care what was politically or socially correct but focused completely on God. I want that!! Mary Magdalene was also discussed while talking about what we envisioned for our team. Mary broke her alabaster jar to pour her perfume on Jesus' head. That was her life security. She gave it up willingly and in love. I am ready to break my alabaster jar and release that beautiful fragrance to my lover, Jesus. I will throw out what the world says about how I should act, look, do, or worship. I will only focus on the Lord. I will be in such rhythm with Him that there will be no distractions that can take my gaze off of Him. We will walk and do things with Him while deflecting everything the enemy throws at us. We will not be slowed down. The enemy CAN'T touch us!!
So no further ado this is my new family for the rest of the race. My team leader is Staci and the rest of the crew are Brooke, Corinna, Kendall, and Rachel. Our team name is Team Tambo Tribe. Well, with all of our ideas of what we wated for this team we could not come up with a name that wasn't taken already. We really want to become undignified for the Lord and we will. Every time we looked through the Bible to find a word to describe dancing the word "tamborine" was used. We thought that's cool but not really a cool name. Then a random guy walks into our room holding a tambourine. (We have seen a tambourine everywhere we have been so far) No kidding! Okay, so we took that as a sign. 😉 Tambourines were in the front lines of the armies and were played after victory over the battle! Another fun tid bit for ya…we feel like something huge is going to happen with this team in Africa and the tambourine comes…guess where…YES…Africa! We are going to be dancing tambourine shaking undignified worshippers of the Lord!!!! We are going to be SET FREE!!!
