Month 2 has begun….

WOW, when did month 1 end?

After 24 hours spent on a bus we have finally arrived. Yes, we were cramped and uncomfortable but it was a great time catching up with other teams and just getting to push through something challenging together.

You better believe I almost kissed the ground when I got off the bus though.

This month we are in Trujillo, Peru. We are living in a cute little room on the 3rd story of a church called America De Sur. We have been welcomed very warmly here.

We each have our own beds and space to settle in and spread out a bit. Its quite the change from last month and we feel remarkably spoiled. Oh and did I mention we have internet for the first time in over a month! This is what our first couple days here looked like as we attempted to catch up on blogs, emails, fundraising and the like….

Since arriving we have been doing mostly prep work for a VBS we will be putting on from the 25th to the 28th in Huamachuco. Between crafting handmade invitations, learning countless new songs, writing scripts, and preparing crafts we have kept our selves quite busy.

Although it is necessary, I am really looking forward to getting all the busy work done and being able to love on the kids of Huamachuco.

Apart from preparing for VBS we are starting an english class and frequently attending ‘cell groups’…aka ‘small groups’ in the evening. This has been a great opportunity to get to know the people of this church and this city more personally.

We are still discovering our roll here in Trujillo, but I can already see God moving through the relationships we have begun to form and the personal challenges that this month holds for our team.

p.s. Have I told you about how great my team is?

**I will be introducing you to them in my next blog! So be excited!**
