Our time in Bolivia flew by and now,
we are catching the 7:30pm bus to La Paz were our entire squad…the ‘W’ Squad will be gathering together for a debrief. What exactly this means I’m not sure. I know that AIM (Adventure in Missions) staff will be flying out here to Bolivia and we will probably spend some intense time in prayer and worship. Its sure to be a time of rejuvenation, a time to thank the LORD for what He has done and to really press in to what He wants to do in the months to come. There is one phrase that all World Racers know well. Something that makes some nervous and excited others….
…….Team Changes…..
Each World Race squad has 3 lovely squad leaders. They go through training camp with us, travel with us, arrange details, and visit each and every team in each and every country. They speak life over us, challenge us, and make sure that we are functioning as a team. During this debrief 3 new squad leaders will be raised up from amongst us, and our current SL will be leaving us in 30 days time. Teams will be shuffled, new team leaders will arise, others will be asked to step down, and well, things are going to change.
My team…’Team Lovesong’ won’t be the same anymore.

At first I was really nervous about what this would mean. I have spent the entirety of the race so far becoming family with these girls and the idea of change makes me uneasy.

However God is sovereign. He knows the ways that I desire to grow, and even more then that He knows how HE wants to grow me. The deepest kind of transformation often ONLY comes through difficult season. Seasons where you literally cling to Christ. So I am preparing to embrace what may be uncomfortable at first. I know that it will be worth it. Besides, my identity in Christ stays the same, and so I don’t need to worry.
“Leave to your God, to order and provide,
In every change, He will remain”
