I’ve never been straight up mocked to my face before.
At least not while on the World Race so far.
The last 3 months in South America we have met people who are at least fairly open to the idea of God. With so much catholic influence there it makes since. Being here in Albania it is a very different story.
Many of the people I have talked to just laugh at me, or they tell me exactly what they think….That I’m a fool, that I have been brainwashed, or that I am a goody-to-shoes.

They cuss like sailors,
they hoot and holler at every female,
they smoke marijuana, and honestly…..
I love it.
Maybe thats not what you expected to hear. But knowing about God, wearing a cross necklace, having good morals, and doing the whole ‘church’ thing does no one ANY good. The students here just are who they are….I love them already…. but my heart breaks for them.
With the exception of a few, their hearts are hardened.
The girls here often don’t eat so they can buy cuter clothes. They don’t know the freedom that comes from Christ. They don’t know that they are more then how they look. They don’t know that they are loved and cherished. They don’t know that they are called BELOVED……they are enslaved to materialism.
They guys here sit on the benches in front of girls dorms hollering at the girls walking by, and staring in the many windows. And this makes up a good part of their day.
They don’t know that they were called to walk in the footsteps of a great King.
They don’t know that they are made for greatness,
made to break chains,
made to set captives free,
and made to live for a purpose.
Their walls are up and its hard to break them down.
But not to hard for our God.
He brought the walls of Jericho down, and snapped the chains of Paul and Silas.
He has no problem doing it again for the students of Albania.
And so we pray. We declare this campus as the LORD’s…as HIS stomping grounds.
We say to Albania that it is a place of FREEDOM, of RESTORATION, of NEW LIFE.
God is already bringing us people to build relationships with…people that have the ‘IN’ to certain groups of seemingly unreachable people. And we pray for more.
We are releasing the the Spirit of the LIVING GOD in Albania….because nothing can hold it back.
So Body of Christ please pray with us that God continues to loosed chains and bust walls.
