Kigali, Rwanda is beautiful.  It’s so different from Kenya and Uganda.  It’s surprisingly clean and modern… and there are hills everywhere.  It’s pretty crazy to think that they had a civil war here only 15 years ago.  You don’t see it on the surface, but our Pastor says that there’s still a lot of sadness and division here.  We’ve been here a week.  We’re staying at the Pastor’s house with his family—his wife, Olivia, and his five children.  On Tuesdays through Fridays we go house to house evangelizing.  This definitely gets me out of my comfort zone, and there are plenty of days where I have to pray for God’s grace.  I am so thankful that God still works in spite of me and that people are still coming to know Christ.

It’s pretty incredible how we can just share the gospel with people here and they are eager to here God’s Word.  It’s so different than America.  In America you have to earn trust and become friends before someone will listen to you about Jesus.  It’s been hard to wrap my mind around the difference, but I’m learning to be bolder and more confident in the words of life that I speak.

Things to pray for:

-Pray for our team that we will continue to grow closer to one another and that we will build each other up in Christ.
-Pray for God to continue to shape me into the woman He wants me to be– that I will grow in my confidence as I continue to hold out the Word of Life.
-Pray for our contacts, Pastor James Gasana and his wife, Olivia– that their ministry will continue to grow and be a light to the community.
