So, the place where we are staying has cows. I don’t know why, but I’ve always thought cows seem so peaceful. Well, I guess they are unless provoked.
So today as I was walking through the field here, I decided it would be a good idea to pet this peaceful cow. It’s baby was standing right beside it. I touched the baby on its side, then proceeded to pet the mom on the neck. She tried to swat my hand away by turning her head the other way. At that point I decided it might be best to walk away. I started to do just that, but just as I started to the peaceful cow came at me and literally head-butted me. In an instant I was knocked off my feet, and while I was still on the ground the cow was coming at me again. Thankfully, one of the African women shooed the cow away and I escaped with only a couple bruises… oh and maybe a little cow pie on my shirt. But don’t worry, I’m not really hurt, and I’ve learned not to pet the cows!
