After a 12+ hour plane ride to Qatar, a 6 hour layover, and one last 6 hour plane ride we finally arrived in Kenya at 6am! The first two nights in Kenya our whole squad stayed at a hostel called Milimani Backpackers. It was such a cool place with so many people from different places coming in and out of there.
It was so great to rest and see a little bit of Nairobi. On Tuesday each team made their way to where they would spend the rest of their stay in Kenya. My team had a 9 hour bus ride to Kitale and then about an hour taxi ride to the town of Kachibora. And let me tell you it was the bumpiest ride I've ever been on!
WE are staying onDeliverance Church compound. The people here are such a blessing. They have served us with such humility by preparing meals for us and for making sure we feel at home. And we do. We feel at home because of the people here.
