Hey guys!

Many of you may know or will get to know who I am, but some of you may only know me through the words that I type on this blog.  I hope to be genuine– to capture experiences, thoughts, stories, Truth… and I hope you won't get too bored reading it.  To be honest, I'm a little nervous about keeping a blog… but here I go.

I have lived in North Carolina for most of my life.  I love home and all that that means, but I am not at all a homebody.  Going to new places and meeting new people is really exciting to me, even though I tend to be a little shy.  I grew up in a great family and am so blessed to have their support.  It's always a strange yet familiar thing being all together after being in so many different places… my parents in Charlotte, NC; my brother, Stephen, in DC; and Zack and his wife, Melissa, in Germany.  Friends can easily come and go, but I am especially thankful for those of you who are stilll my dear and close friends.

For those of you who may not know me so well…  "important" things you should know 🙂

-Elephants are my favorite animal. (obviously important, because i listed it first)

-I love to cook… and think eating food with others is a great part of life.

-I love the NC State Wolfpack.

-I prefer the mountains over the beach.

-Music, old and new, is one of my favorite things.

-I love sipping coffee with friends at a local coffee shop.

-I don't like beans… but i have a feeling i'll have to get over that while on the world race.

I am about to embark on this adventure called The World Race.  Although I think this is something that is very me, I would have never ever imagined that I would have the opportunity to do anything like this– going to 11 countries in 11 months– what an incredible journey that I really don't deserve.  I am so blessed to have the support of my family and friends.  And I am so blessed to have a Savior who is Love.  Thank You, Jesus, for being faithful and gracious.  I pray that He would make His name great in all the nations in spite of me. I hope you'll join me in this prayer… and on this journey!
