For those of you who know me, you know I love to run.  I’m not the fastest, but it’s one of my favorite activities.  I love that you can do it anywhere at anytime with anyone.  It is a time for me to catch up with friends, discover new places, or even just get rid of stress from the day.  Today, I went on a run in our beautiful Baton Rouge weather (which only happens about twice a year).  As I was running, I just started to reminisce on all of the wonderful memories I have from these four years of college, and even 21 years of life spent in this wonderful city.

I have faced so many trials, but so many accomplishments.  I have made new friends and kept old ones.  I have failed tests and aced tests.  I have dealt with deaths, but rejoiced in births.  I have pulled all nighters and had sleep all dayers (I think I just made up that word).  I have been challenged, but also rewarded.  There have been many tears and much laughter.  I have made mistakes but learned from them.  I have had times where I just wanted to give up and learned those were the times where I just needed to give it up to God.  With all this being said, I have LOVED my time here in Baton Rouge. However, it is time for a CHANGE

While, I wouldn’t trade these 21 years for the world, it is time for me to see the rest of the world.  Even if I do end up back in Baton Rouge, I know World Race is what I’m supposed to be doing next year.  While my time here has been sweet, I know the college years are coming to a close and it is time for me to move on to a new chapter of life.  The unknown of it is slightly terrifying, but so exhilarating.  I cannot wait to share the Gospel with those of different cultures and help the hungry and hurt.  While I know I am called to make the most of my time left here, I cannot see what God has in store in just 9 months away!
