Hello everyone,
I want to start off by saying that our God carries out His will in the most incredible ways, in times that we don’t understand until– from our human perspective, we see the final result. I am a firm believer that we who are restless are called by him, not to walk through what is comfortable, but to serve God’s people with the incredible gifts we have been given. For a really long time I’ve been floating around, unsure of what was next for me and how I was to lead my life of discipleship in serving God. Going to school every day was familiar. Time kept speeding up and suddenly I was graduating with the rest of my class.
I then woke up the next morning completely lost.
That unsurety was a complete blessing, as it opened my eyes and my heart to a purpose. A huge opportunity was offered to me through this group called Adventures in Missions. The only way I can explain it is the first real breath i’ve taken in so long. This is what I’ve been called to do, but I need help doing it.
In September, I leave with Adventures in Missions to serve alongside a slew of other followers my age on a journey to the countries Thailand, Malasia, Costa Rica, and Ecuador for 9 months. My goal it to reach $15,800 for this trip, which looks hefty, but if it is what I’m called for, I have no fear that God will do what He does. If you choose to donate money, the best place to do it is through my personal blog on ‘Adventures and Missions.’ I recommend a gift of $50, $100 or $150. Of course, any amount is more than welcome, as well as your prayers. I ask for prayer that I reach my monetary goals, for the health and safety of both myself and the other people who are embarking on this journey with me, and my Momma needs your prayers as she is a nervous wreck for me; that she and my dad can find peace in letting me do something that is a far cry from what is comfortable, but what God has called me to do.
