All World Race participants come spend a little over a week with us a
month or two before their launch for Training Camp.  It’s a time to
prepare spiritually, emotionally, and practically.

Below is the information that the Admissions department is
releasing to you at this time regarding your Training Camp.  Once you
have read through the information carefully and are sure you have all
the information you need, you can begin to book your transportation for
Training Camp.  If you have any questions or something doesn’t make
sense, you can direct your questions to Kim.

Note: all your lodging and meals are covered in the cost of Camp
which is folded into the amount you are raising for your entire World
Race experience.  However, to attend Training Camp, you need already to
have $1000 in your support account.

DATES:
July 2nd – July 10th, 2011

ARRIVAL: [If you can drive, please do.  We need extra transportation at Camp.]
IF YOU’RE FLYING: Book a flight arriving no later than 3PM on Saturday 7/2/2011 to Chattanooga, TN
AIM Staff will meet you at Baggage Claim and direct you from there.
Our group will be the ones with big over-sized backpacks, wearing WR
T-shirts.

An AIM bus will be leaving the airport with all you air travelers on it at 5PM.  The bus is on us.

Expect delays and plan on it taking up to an hour for you to get
from your plane to baggage claim.  This means be sure your flight
arrives BEFORE 3PM.  Plan on arriving earlier rather than later.

Make sure that your cell number is uploaded to your profile, so we can reach you during your travel.

If you run into trouble or delays, call Kim: 770-983-1060 x327.

IF YOU’RE DRIVING: Arrive at Camp between 5-6PM on Saturday 7/2/2011 to Copperhill, TN.  Before five o’clock there may not be people at Camp ready to receive you.  However, we also need you there before six.

Driving those Tennessee hills can get a little crazy.  Make sure you’ve got Google directions in your car or use a GPS system.

Training Camp is NOT at AIM headquarters.  If you drive to AIM, you’ll be a good four hours away from Camp.
Address for Camp:
Ocoee Camp – Whitewater Express

Copperhill, TN 37317
Make sure that your cell number is uploaded to your profile, so we can reach you during your travel.

DEPARTURE:
IF YOU’RE FLYING: Book your flight to depart after 2PM on Sunday July 10th, 2011.  The AIM bus will get you to the airport in time for a 2PM flight.

IF YOU’RE DRIVING: Plan to leave Camp after 12PM (noon) on Sunday July 10th, 2011
Often a few people who drove will help take squadmates of theirs to the
airport.  If any of you are willing to plan on doing that, it would be
greatly appreciated.
