I just got this week’s support raising update… So much fun to look at that sheet and be able to fill it out so that every single one of you is at 100% with pledges!!! I want to remind you guys of just some policies and procedures and what happens now that you are fully funded…
1) Pledges. Remember that if you are receiving pledges (whether monthly or some special gifts still on the way) that you are technically going into debt with AIM. We are spending money on your behalf up to $14,300 at this point. Should something happen and that money doesn’t arrive, it will be your responsibility to cover that debt. So stay on top of your support account, make sure everything comes in each month, and if anything happens, contact me immediately so we can work it out.
2) Spreadsheet. Again for those of you who have money still on the way, remember that you MUST email me once a month, including the Monthly Donor Spreadsheet updated to show the donations that came into your account. This is my proof that your pledges are fulfilling their commitment and this is how I can tell Logistics to continue buying you plane tickets even though you have a negative balance. So be sure I get that in once a month!
3) Reimbursements and Post-Race. Go on your profile to your support tab. Click the link to Support Policies. Scroll down and open the Reimbursement policy. That’s everything that happens with your account from this point forward. Most important to note: you have 60 days from the last day on the field to submit and receive reimbursements. After those 60 days you have 30 extra days for questions or comments or things you want to do post-race. At the end of 90 days from the day you leave the field, we will close out your account and any money leftover at that point will be removed and used to offset other ministry costs. Be sure that EVERYTHING related to your support account is complete before that 90 day mark.
