Hey Squad,

I know there’s been a lot of discussion going around about which malaria meds to bring and the cost and the alternatives… Again… I’m not a doctor so I don’t have any answers for you… but I want to remind you to PLEASE take this issue seriously. Malaria is a serious disease with serious consequences. In order to be good stewards of the message God placed inside you, you need to be good stewards of your health. Here are a couple of things to be sure you have thought through:

1) What different strains of malaria are in each country? Do I have medicine for each strain?
2) If I am purchasing malaria meds as I go, how do I get the right type of medicine there? how do I check to be sure the pharmacy is reputable?
3) Do I have additional prevention methods besides medication? Garlic pills? Bug spray? Mosquito net?
4) How is my team going to encourage and remind each other to be healthy?

We walk in bold faith, believing that God has more for us… that there is health, healing, and wholeness in our destiny…

We walk in courage, not fear, believing that God has everything we need to go through trials of many kinds…

And we walk in wisdom… using all that God has given us to be well prepared for all that God has for us.

Remember these are not either/or… we walk in all 3! If you have questions or need help with this, feel free to call any time…
