So we now know our launch dates and times…we have roughly 40 days until we leave. If you think about it, then the first thought would be the time of Noah with the flood; however, there is also the 40 days and nights Christ spent out in the desert to pray, where He was also tempted by the little punk. In light of this, God just popped some of my old poems into my mind to help strengthen us in these 40 days.

Suit of Armor (Eph. 6:13-24)
Shed your clothes of filth,
Burn the evil away,
For Jesus needs you
To reach the lost today.
Allow God to cleanse you,
Refine you in His fires
To streamline your very soul,
To excavate your heinous desires.
Born again in Spirit—
Made new in the image of Christ
A suit of armor for you to wear,
To stop Satan’s epidemic heist.
First, the sturdy belt of Truth,
Then, body armor of Righteousness
With waterproof boots of Peace
And shield of Faithfulness.
Grab your helmet of Salvation,
Unsheathe your sword—
Sword of the Spirit,
God’s Divine Word.
Go forth Warrior of God!
SHOUT out for the One,
Fly down to the slopes of death
For His battles need to be won.
Spiritual Warfare
Spiritual warfare all around,
We pick up our crosses
And walk by faith,
But what about the losses?
Left and right,
Left, right our comrades fall—
Bombshell blasts and cannon fodder,
Satan’s minions come to maul.
Yet, a dove of peace descends
And Christ rides the fiery shrouds,
Again our brethren rise
To flank the Father of Lies’ crowds.
We can do all things through Christ,
For He strengthens us
While the warfare rages on,
As the Lamb begins to bless!

Battlegrounds
I’ve been battered and bruised,
Pushed to the ground, ten times over,
A gladiator beaten, shackled, spat upon,
Toyed with for sport and fun,
Sent to makeshift battlegrounds.
Maniacal laughter rises around me,
Satan and his legions set to torture,
Set to make me want reprieve,
To bow down before them,
To curse the Living God!
On one knee, I raise my eyes,
I look to the Heavens, to His Glory,
In slow motion I rise, I stand before Hell,
And I SCREAM, not in fear, never in fear,
But in glorious triumph!!
“You have no hold over me, Fallen One!
You cannot tear me down,
If I fall, I will rise again and again,
I am a Child of the Most High
And you have no control, NONE!!
Tremble, foul creatures, for the One reigns,
You fear His Name, Jesus Christ,
The Eternal One, Alpha and Omega,
The Protector and Guardian of His people,
TREMBLE!!! TREMBLE I SAY!!
Take away all my possessions,
Steal from me those I love most,
Beat me, curse me, hate me,
But I will never crack,
I will NEVER fear you!
Before me goes the bright light of God,
He surrounds me and engulfs me with love,
I am His child, His son,
Darkness cannot overcome me
Nor can you tear me down, Lucifer!!
Lashes strike my heart, my soul,
Pain seizes every nerve and muscle,
Sulfur, decay, and brimstone fill my nostrils,
Shut-up in the lowest dungeon of the darkest abyss,
No light, no sound, no hope.
The laughter begins again,
The armies of hate and bitterness grasp my soul,
Draw me to the centerfold,
Tear my flesh; sear my heart in two,
And leave me to the maggots.
Whispers in the dark:
‘You’re nothing! You’ll never succeed!
Everyone will leave you! No one loves you!
They all hate you, they all loathe you!
Curse them all! Curse them to Hell!!’
“NOOOOOOOOOOOOO…….
I will not do any such thing!
I am loved by God Almighty,
Created in His image, with wonder and beauty,
I love every single one of them!
No hurtful words, no hateful cries can touch me!
They may turn their back on me,
They can hate and loathe my face, my voice,
I will never curse them or hate them,
Divine love conquers all!!
AGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
My heart and soul, the air around me shines bright
For I belong to Him, I am His,
Tremble at His name you fiends,
Tremble before the King, JESUS CHRIST!!!
In the Name of the Holy One,
I will rise and fight,
I will wield His sword, His banner,
No more darkness, no more torture,
I stand and fight on the battlegrounds!
Power surges through me,
Darkness recedes from His light.
The shackles, chains clink to the stones,
I stand and stretch, wounds re-open,
Yet, still I rise for the One who reigns!
Fear No More!
Why am I so afraid?
Why do I get so scared?
Is there some factor,
As if no one cared?
No, I tell you,
It is just plain fear,
But from what or whom?
There is nothing near.
Fear of hatred and evil,
Of being looked down upon.
This should not be
For I follow His Son.
Abolish this feeling Lord,
Give me strength and courage,
From now on I’ll stand up
For Your love will always encourage.
Encourage to no longer be afraid,
So I will fear No More!
I will be a leader
And Your Warrior for the War!
(meet Lionheart from Care Bears, YES I watched it and LOVED it…MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!)
