Here is a sample of my support letter, I still have to send more of these out to let people know I would love for them to partner with me.

Dear,

I wanted to reach out to you and tell you what I have been up to lately- For the past few years I’ve been mostly living in Buffalo, NY and working in the foodservice industry. Last year, I took a semester to study full-time at a Christian College in Joplin, Missouri. I went there to build a firmer foundation in what I believe, with my focuses and classes revolving around Missions, Apologetics, Family Life, Discipling, Relationship Seminars, and a 10-day Wilderness Excursion! As a requirement, I volunteered for the first time in a shelter called Watered Gardens. Now, back in Buffalo, NY, the current organization I volunteer with is called P.A.T.H. Enrichment Center. It’s a safe space with resources for women who have been trafficked (sexually abused, enslaved) or are seeking refuge. Part of my week also involves meeting up with people from my community and church. We get together to focus on scripture, prayer and community outreach.

I have a strong desire to love others more and to continue working and growing in service to God and others around me. And as you may or may not already know, I love to travel, learn and understand different people, so what better way to do that than with a purpose. I am planning in January 2018- God willing- to go on an almost year long missions trip to eleven different countries! The name of this trip is called, The World Race- which is a part of Adventures in Missions Ministry.

One of the unique things about the World Race is that it’s not only a missions trip but also an intensive discipleship program. The team and I will serve in partnership with existing ministries in local communities. While on this trip I will be participating in, but not limited to the following: manual labor, working in orphanages, ministering to women and children trapped in prostitution as a result of human trafficking, and doing my best to bring the hope of the Father’s love to many tribes and nations. I expect to face many challenges during the World Race, but as I prepare for my departure, one of my challenges is financial support. In order to leave fully funded on January 14th, 2018, I need to raise $18,700. This money will cover all of my field expenses for the entirety of the trip. (travel costs, food, lodging, administrative costs, health insurance and more.) As I take this large step of faith in trusting God, would you prayerfully consider donating one sum or making a monthly donation?

The easiest tax deductible way for you to financially support & partner with me is through my blog at (noracox.theworldrace.org). You can also “subscribe” to my blog to get updates sent to your email; please follow my journey. If you would rather write a check, it can be made out to “Adventures in Missions” with my name on the memo line.

If you cannot or do not feel lead to give, that is okay, I would still like to invite you to partner with me in support through prayer. Please consider making a schedule or reserving a time to pray. Pray for the leadership of my team (The World Race Expedition 10/40 window), pray for the leaders of each nation, pray for our team to be effective in what we do; to be of the most service to others. Pray for strength and safety.

Please feel free to contact me. I would be happy answer any questions.

Sincerely,
