Hey everyone.
I arrived in Gainesville, GA for on
Thursday the 2nd (my Mom Jerri’s 60th birthday!!!) for some more leadership training.

Here is Danny talking about Culture, Mission and Gods purpose in all dat.

We went over insurance policies, risk and safety, how to have fierce conversations, and we were trained on how to do feedback and conflict resolutions with our team. We also thought deeper about how we would set examples and lead well and serve the people on our teams.

At Aadventures In Missions, we AIM to do that  through
Intimacy – getting to Know God in a variety of ways.
Community – choosing to love people who are differnt. And potentially difficult to Love.
And
Mission – partnering with Gods plan to fulfill His purpose.

To be honest, it’s been a lot, very very full days mostly ranging from 8am to 9pm with few times for break.

But this time, in the midst of jam packed days I have noticed a difference. I’ve been pressing more into the Lord for rest, and I have been continuing to give my frustrations/annoyances, fears and dreams to Him consistantly.
And guess what!!!?? He has comforted and rejuvenated me every time, and I find myself sining that Jackie Wilson song to the Lord “(your love keeps lifting me) higher and higher”

It also really helped that I have been typically waking up and alert at 5:45am (before my alarm), so I can spend time in prayer and reflection, as well as worship and work out!!! And food has been provided!!!

In 2019 though today I have been praying for more discipline in my life and beating myself up about it for a while. And I see my self beginning to step into that consistancy and worship God through the tiredness.
I feel most my true self when I make focused time at the start of my day to do the things that give me life. Feed my spirit through Gods word and give my body an outlet for all the energy I have though some form of physical activity.

I’ve been listening to a great 15min podcast on choices: Emily P Freeman Podcast it’s in spottify and her website. And probably  other medias.

While I was in Gainesville, GA, I was blessed to reconnect with friends from the World Race (january expedition 2018). It was a great encouragement to spend time in nature with these two beautiful women of Christ. God is using them to do Great things!!!

After this short but beautiful sabbath morning, the leadership team traveled to the airport hotel in Atlanta.

As the rest of the squad and some of their parents arrived for launch and we had more full days of sessions, team time, worship, and making commitment to one another.

We put a flag in the ground. We desire to see each other as the Father does, and to grow in Unity, Peace and the greatest of all LOVE.
Which we cannot attempt to successfully do without the Source of these, and the Giver of them, Jesus Himself, King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

Here is the rest of the squad Leaders and team leaders for my squad plus John-David in the middle (a friend and post-world race leader)

Pictured above (left to right). Zach, Ari, Brandon, JD, Allison and Andrea.

And our mentor and coaches!!! And Taylor!!!

I have so so so much more I could share. But I wanted to give a quick update. Now off to another session.

We fly out tomorrow morning to a long layover on L.A.

Psalm 131

My heart is not proud;

my eyes are not haughty.
I do not get involved with things
too great or too wondrous for me.
Instead, I have calmed and quieted my soul
like a weaned child with its mother;
my soul is like a weaned child.

Israel, put your hope in the Lord,

both now and forever.
