We just had our 3rd Debrief in Baku, AZURBIJAN.

I was asked by AIM to take on a leadership role. TEAM LEADER

I’ve never been in a learship “position” as far as I can remember.
I think at any other point on this journey I would have been nervous to accept the role, or likely said “no”.
I am usually reluctant to take on positions of responsibility, but I know God will use it.
I am excited for a differnt opportunity to grow!!
I am also excited because I got a dream team that the Lord handpicked just for me. I love these gals. I am blessed beyond belief!
Meet team Taza

We are vessels of the King.
The finest hand painted China, constructed by the One.
Our cups are more than half-full, they are overflowing!!
The life giving water flows from our heart and waters some seeds. And is given freely in service of those who are thirsty.
Who is thirsty out there?
Let them come and drink from the everlasting water.
(We wash the inside of our cups.)
…
Blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup, so that the outside of it may also become clean. Matt. 23:26
“The one who believes in me, as the Scripture has said, will have streams of living water flow from deep within him.” John 7:38
Being rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, and overflowing with gratitude. Col. 2:7

I’d like to let everyone in on some of the daily routine, sturcture or requirements AIM has asked of us, and what MINISTRY AMONGST EACHOTHER looks like:::
- Every other week we have some scripture we go through as a team and some discussion questions about that scripture as well as personal reflection questions.
- Right now my team and I are going through the book of the prophet Isaiah. Feel free to post commentary or links to helpful articles below.
- Everyday or every other day my team aims (haha AdventuresInMissions) to do “FEEDBACK“.
Which is a scary word and a structured time for telling people on your team the good things you have observed about them or pointing out things you saw them doing.
There is an admonishment aspect termed “call higher” feedback where the desire is to see that person theive or grow.
For example:
“Bertha, i notice that when we are in a group you are not focused on the person speaking and are often looking down or at your phone. I believe you desire show people you love them and I know you have respect for others, it appears like you dont care when you are looking away when others are speaking”
So feekback involves the whole group.
Many things that deal with individual interactions can just be conflict resolution.
THE POINT is to get in the practice of calling out things and bringing them in the open/light as soon as they happen.
The more often stuff gets swept under the rug, the more likely emotions are hidden and explosions happen or bitterness has a platform to develop.
This daily feedback excersise also helps with better observation of others and a more outward focus (which Christ calls us all to have!!)
Feedback is a great habbit and tool for improving observation, communication and overall speech. Which I desperately need.
I struggle(d) with it, especially at the beginning of the race. It seems fluffy and sometimes i dont have the words to say.
Psalm 139:17-
How precious to me are your thoughts, God!
How vast is the sum of them!
18 Were I to count them,
they would outnumber the grains of sand—
^^^Woah, God has so many thoughts about us. And if He is alive and or in us, we have more “gold” than we thought to call out in people too.
God calles us higher. And he wants to use us to call one another higher to live our best life.
Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful. Prov. 27:6
A person’s insight gives him patience, and his virtue is to overlook an offense. Prov. 19:11
