Check out this video from B Squad 8-Month Debrief.
A time of dancing, praise, breakthroughs and unity.
There were also times of counsel, training, scripture reading and prayer intercession.
Overall, a move of God happened that took these missionaries through a time of overcoming tiredeness, unforgiveness, and hopelessness.
Towards renewed joy, reconciliation, and…love in the Lord!
Are there teachings? Yes!
Are there tears of pain and hardships? Yes!
Are there leadership and missionary issues to work through? Yes!
And this, we do.
But, is there also…
A God who refreshes the weary? Yes!
A God who heals and brings restoration and life to dead places? Yes!
A God who loves seeing his children rekindled for the battle? Yes!
And that is why I love my 'job.'
It's not really a job to me. It's my vocation, and it's my passion.
It means 12 hour work days, phone calls at 2am, and intercessory prayer continually.
But it also means honor, and privilege; The privilege from God that allows me to oversee these missionary groups (and friends:) that are in need of refreshment, truth, and discipleship from here at home and to times overseas.
You can only do so much over the Internet or through phone calls.
So I go out.
2 weeks ago I returned from Kenya, Africa. And this was one part of the evidence that God is alive and well.
These missionaries are supposed to be 'tired'…supposed to be 'done'…
But for a few days, we saw God show up in Glory, in tangible life!
The tiredeness every day needs to be rekindled.
This wasn't a one-time 'fix it all' 4 days of debrief.
But, all of these aspects are such a valuable part of 'Debrief'
What an amazing time we had.
I personally was touched by joy and laughter in the Lord, and a new aspect of his activation in my life.
Enjoy!
