Jireh…..
God our Provider!

So for the past few weeks, we have had the honor and privilege
to go to a children’s home called Jireh, which is Hebrew for The Lord Will Provide.
Currently, there are 12 underprivileged children living there right now, boys
and girls ranging from all ages. 4 to 14!
Jireh Trust is a non-profit and public charitable trust
established in May of 2006. Mr. Thelilungront Khaling and his wife, Sendme Saka
raise these children with little or no support from others. They did have one
man help feed them by donating food to them, but he died 2 years ago, so they
are on their own to feed the 12 children.
Their aim is to
uplift the poor economically and socially underprivileged, destitute men,
women, children, orphans, and the physically and mentally disadvantaged in
order to train, assist, equip and empower them to lead socially and
economically useful and productive lives! .. and they are doing an amazing job!

(cutest
kid in the WORLD. I want to keep him. He prayed his own rendition of
the Lord’s prayer for us.. mixture of about 4 different languages.. SOOO
CUTE!)
These kids impacted me in such a way that I wanted to
take all of them home with me and keep them for myself. Seriously, don’t be
surprised if I come back to America with an Indian baby!!! They have such great
spirits, and their generosity astounds me. I have never seen someone with so
little, offer SOOO much. They always invite us in for dinner, and feed us until
our stomachs pop, while they sit back and just serve us rather than join us for
dinner. It is so humbling to enter into their home, because they are so
grateful for what little that the Lord has given them. The teenage boys, all
around the age of 14, just sing songs, perform tribal dances for us, serve us
juice and drinks, and just take care of nurture the younger children at the
home. The face of Jesus is so evident in Mr. and Mrs. Khaling and in the
children as well. I just love the heart behind this ministry, how they have
dedicated their lives to these chidren, and give so much and expect so little in
return. May the Lord truly bless the Jireh home an all the children in it!

If
God has really placed these precious kids on your heart, and you would
love to help out anyway you can, I will let you know how you can get
involved 🙂
