I made it!!!
Hello all,
PRAISE THE LORD! My flight and all my team members made it to Auckland, New
Zealand and safely arrived on our bus ride here to ministry launch location
(though still jet lagged from the time zone difference and the fact that Saturday,
January 2nd did not exist, lol)
I’ve had
SEVERAL…”ohhhh my goodness moments, am I actually in this country???…this is
AWESOME!” I’m using the tent, yes,
already! We had a lot of downpour
rain last night so I’m so grateful for an awesome tent and gear. Our hosts here at the Youth With a
Mission base camp have been great hosts.
The food is fantastic, and the site has hot showers! Amen!
I don’t have
a lot of internet access so I’m sorry for the short updates but I will try and
get them to you as soon as possible.
I’m
extremely grateful for all of your support and getting me here. I appreciate your continued prayers…I’M
STILL SICK, I’ve had a cold since Christmas, but it is getting really better. And PRAY FOR MY TEAM, as we will
quickly begin our bonding and ministry assignment.
AWESOME,
ALREADY…I already had the chance to minister to a Maori (sp?) man. I had about 10 minutes with him and he
was very interested in what I was doing and why I was with 30 other American’s. The coolest thing was that his accent
was so thick. I got to listen to
my first accent on this mission, one of many I’m sure. After a few minutes I was able to
encourage him a little in the Lord, letting him know that we believed in Jesus
(he asked if I was Jejova’s Witness, a large religion here) and quickly I was
able to distinguish what I was about.
He was real receptive.
His wife is a Christian so I encouraged him to go with his wife to
church. I thank the Lord for this
quick opportunity.
I love you
all and talk to you soon from beautiful, amazing, New Zealand. You all are amazing, God spead, and God
bless!!!
