Most days are normal. Routines, schedules, to-do lists.

And then there’s those moments, every now and then, where the routine gets rocked. Rocked with something that you know is not ‘normal.’ The normal get’s mysteriously hit.
When a glimpse of heaven touches earth.
I LOVE those moments. It reminds me that this world is a shadow of the things to come. The shadow is real, very real. But Heaven is exponentially and magnificently even more so the true reality.
What’s the difference between
It’s the difference between skyping with someone and talking with them in person
It’s the difference between looking at an appetizing dinner meal in a magazine and looking down and seeing it right in front of you to eat.
It’s the difference between talking about love, and experiencing true love.
It’s the difference between reading a book about God or watching a movie about him, and feeling His presence weigh you down to your knees, or sweep you up in swirls of dancing.
It’s the difference between great worship times through the iPhone, and being there live with the musicians and their worship and yours combining.
It’s this…
I’m here at the Jesus Culture conference in Los Angeles. Ive listened to Bethel worship and music for a few years now. But never in person. Yesterday, worshiping with them in person brought me chills, to an even better reality. It’s actually not about Bethel or the music, but about God and Heaven. What it will be like to ACTUALLY be in Heaven. This earth is awesome, but how amazingly tangible the heavenly presence of God will be. We think we experience Him here on earth, phew, wait till Heaven!
Here’s the entry from my journal:

Moment – in worship. When I heard, live, the worship of
bethel/kim walker, it was a symbolic real mesmorizing moment, of what heaven
will be like. What I mean, is this. For a few years now, I’ve been listening to
the jesus culure/bethel music. Reading the books, and listening to sermons.
It’s become a part of my personal times with the Lord. So, taking this
opportunity to come to the conference I was excited. But it did something even
better. It became a tangible example of what my anticipation of seeing God’s
presence and being in Heaven with him will be like. Because when Kim started to
sing, and sing a song that has impacted me at times in my quiet time, being
here live was definitely impactful. There’s such a difference between the
shadow and the live. The shadow is real. It is. The times I’ve listened to the
music on my own, in my room, have been such a real blessing. But there’s something so
different and real to my skin and bones when it’s the live of it.

Same with God. In that moment, I wasn’t in awe of Kim or Bethel. Nope. I was so drawn to
how I cannot hardly wait for the real deal, the live heaven. The God that I’ll
get to somehow be in communion with, in presence with, in heavenly life with.  I won’t have to read scripture, I’ll BE with
scripture. I won’t have to raise up my hands, I’ll get to HOLD his hands, I won’t have to look up, I’ll just have to AT Him, His
presence. The live thing. This shadow is great. But imagine the real deal!?!  IMAGINE!!!   Agh, It’s gonna be WILD!!!

Let yourself experience a glimpse, it’s awesome!

nor the heart of man imagined,

what God has prepared for those who love him”

– these things God has revealed to us through the Sprit.” 1 Cor 2:9

to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places…” Eph 3:9

“…to him who is able to do far more abundantly

than all that we ask or think…” Eph 3:30

Touch the mountains so that they smoke!

Flash forth the lightening…” Psalm 144:5
