Below is a recent YWAM Newsletter from Kanchanaburi, written by Bang our host.  This is where we lived for a month.  In the middle of this month I rode in the ambulance with Grandma Pang (read my prior blog:My Ambulance Ride).  During this time she had a heart attack/stroke.  I was impacted greatly by this experience.  A week later she passed on.  My heart has a special connection to Grandma Pang and I thank you for your prayers when I posted the first blog.  Continue to keep this ministry in your thoughts, they are doing great things in the small, rural community of Kanchanaburi, Thailand.

There will be no more pain

April – May: During this time we had about
four teams visit us. Two “World Race” teams, a YWAM team, new friends
and relatives – all of whom came to help us build our guest house
and meeting room. These groups blessed us very much. With all of the
hot weather on top of hard work, many were not feeling well… and some
hurt themselves while work hard… but thank God that no one was
seriously injured.

On May 24th, Pang’s Grandmother passed away from heart disease.
Before that she had a lung infection from choking on some food because
her body was slow to respond and difficult for her to control.

Grandma accepted Jesus five years ago when
she came to live with us. After the first three years, she wasn’t able
to walk anymore. Pang’s Mom took care of Grandma for a further one year
and five months. Our relatives came to visit often, we all grew closer
together, and we were always free to share God’s stories with them.

Praise God for…
– Grandma’s returning “home” and that there is no more pain for her
– During the Thai New Year, another family among our relatives accepted Jesus
– The teams that came to help us build our guest house
– God providing the Discipleship Training School fees for “M”
Please pray for…
– Pang’s Mom’s health – she has pain in her wrists and the doctor recommended she see a chiropractor regularly
– Pang’s Dad has numbness in his feet due to a slipped disc in
his vertebrae. We’re considering surgery or possibly treatment with a
chiropractor
– The completion of our guest house and meeting room, which are taking shape
– Toey who is caring for the goats (while M is at DTS), for Toey’s
future direction after these few months, and for his monthly financial
support
Thank you all so much for the ways that you
support us! Sometimes we have lots of ideas about what to do but we can
only do so much. We hope that your lives and ours continue to be a
blessing to each other. Don’t forget to take care of your health!

Love,
YWAM Kanchanaburi
