So I have a VERY short time left out here on the field!

With the last few blogs, i’m going to cover some of my biggest take aways from the race.

This will be the first of my last four or five blogs, and so here it is-

A new median for values

The vanities, and true substances in life have been a great core of passion, interest, and transformation in my new life. Finding out what matters is one thing, but the action of intentionally investing solely in those things -brings a great depth and change into ones heart. Often times, -and in my life especially-, God asks us to pull out all the crutches, and support beams that hold us up. We expect immediately to fall, but the fruitful truth of that season is this:

We are somehowstill standing, and we realize that we do not need those very things, and freedom further manifests in our life. Whether it be any thing on the earth, or in our mind.

This fruitful process planted it’s roots gradually over time, and I’m just now seeing fruit. Although I still fail, and am humbled by those failures, I can remember instances of result.

One day, I opted out of spending big at a mall, and later on in the day was able to bless a man with the money I had saved.

A different time under different circumstances, I had done the opposite and missed out on a chance to bless someone.

The moral of the story is this- that nothing you have holds an eternal value. Ecclesiastes sums it up pretty well, and the gospels paint a pretty picture about building up treasures in heaven. So invest in the eternal.

In God

In people

Btw: The lessons of transformation and knowledge that we are blessed with come only from living out Gods word.
