Cambodia has been absolutely beautiful. As well as it has been to meet this man. His name is Sarivong. A 59 year old Christian Cambodian man who lives here in Battambang. We met him one day during outreach we went a different route then we normally chose and stumbled upon oldie style American music coming from a house out in the FARMLAND IN CAMBODIA. My teammate Jonny lead us as we just walked up to his house and introduced our selfs. He let us in immediately. He asked us if we were christians and we said yes and he seemed very happy. We learned he was also one as well and has worked for World Vision for 15 years. With American music he also has a passion for anything romantic as well as Christmas. I mean what a warm hearted man. We get the pleasure to have bible study with him Tuesday’s and Thursday’s. He said to us the other day he could tell we were Christians when he arrived at his house for the first time. This made my heart so incredibly happy to know the presence of god is always walking with us!
As far as I have been doing here god has been using us everyday. I’ve recently had old forms of anxiety come back so bad that it leaves me breathless and uneasy. I was so mad at first why this was happening. I thought I had beaten my anxiety and it had to come back in a way I couldn’t ignore it. In a way I had to deal with it almost every second. But today I read this: Romans 8:18 “For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.” God has a plan for my struggles. that I should remember that in times of weakness the spirit can carry the load in which my shoulders will break under. To anyone reading this he has a plan for all of yours to so hold tight and have faith HE WILL NEVER DROP YOU.
