Hey everyone! I’m writing to you guys from Ometepe, Nicaragua! Where I am staying is an island in the middle of a lake in Nicaragua. It is in the top 10 of prettiest islands in the whole world and it has two gigantic volcanos on it! My team had to ride on a ferry for an hour just to get to the island. And I never mentioned everyone on my team but there are two other boys and four girls and we have a leader that’s a guy. The two other guys are Isaac and Tye and our leader’s name is Josh. The four girls are Anna, April, Rylee, and Mack. But besides that I am here at an orphanage called CICRIN. We got here Monday afternoon and immediately were welcomed by all the hosts and all the amazing children. In just a short week there has already been so many stories to tell and I am so blessed and privileged to be able to share God’s love with so many other people. For the past week we have been helping out around the orphanage with whatever they may need. We have helped with construction by helping them build two more classrooms for their school. We have helped in both of the kitchens they have here by sweeping and mopping and things like that. And we have also done a lot of garden work like raking or watering. But most importantly is the time we spend with the kids and growing their relationships with the Lord. This week has been filled with lots of laughter and fun with everyone so I’ll tell y’all a few stories about the past week. The first is in my room I am staying with my two guy teammates and we all share the same bathroom. I was sitting on my bed getting ready and I hear this loud crashing sound in the bathroom. My roommate Isaac was using the bathroom and he came out and told me what had happened and I walked in the bathroom and the sink was sitting on the ground shattered and all he did was rest his hand on it. I have pictures to share and I am going to post them all on one post together right after this post and the picture of the sink will be in there. But anyway a few other things that have happened in this past week are I was helping in the kitchen and was cutting limes and I cut my finger really bad and we thought I’d need stitches but eventually the bleeding stopped. I also acquired a strange rash on my hands from doing construction which wasn’t fun because my hands would hurt anytime I touched it. Another cool things is that after every meal we spin a knife on the table and whichever way the knife is pointing is who does the dishes for that meal. Lots of cool stories to tell but I know there are so many more memories to be made not just with my team but with all the kids and hosts here. I’m posting some pictures right after this post so y’all can see some of the things that I have gotten to down here in Nicaragua.

Thanks everyone,

Noah
