Hey everyone – I just wanted to give you all a quick update on what’s been going on over the last week. It seems like we’ve now officially entered the rainy season, as it’s been raining pretty much every day. On days without rain it’s still hot, with temperatures easily reaching 100 F.
We’re still in the capital, finishing up a time of really getting to know each other. This has involved each of us sharing the defining moments of our life’s story. We’ve also been able to pray over the city on different occasions, asking the Big Guy to reveal to us the needs of this area. It seems that believers are pretty heavily persecuted in provinces outside the capital. The country is closed, so we really need to lift these people up and pray that they endure during this hard time.
With less than ten days left to spend here, please pray that our team hears what the Big Guy has for us and that we’re able to accomplish His Will. It’s hard to believe that we’ll be in Africa in a little over two weeks, so please start praying for safe travels and an easy transition to a new environment – one I know nothing about. We’re still not even sure what we’ll be doing once we get there. I guess the fewer the expectations, the better. I’ll do my best to write again before we get on the plane to head to a new continent.
