Dear Friends and Family!

I’ve just gotten back from the World Race Training Camp. The ten days definitely proved to be difficult; we stayed in tents most nights in the hot Georgia weather, we took bucket showers, and we ran through several “field scenarios.” But I’ve learned that the World Race is most definitely where God wants me to be. I can only imagine all the lives and families I’ll be able to touch over these next nine months.

Many of you have taken such good care of me in my life. Many of you have filled gaps that weren’t your biological calling, but God’s will and your kindness. I haven’t asked for much over the years, but all of you have provided, nonetheless. Hear me, now that I ask.

Mathew 10, Jesus gathers his disciples and sends them out into all of Israel. He tells them not to pack so much as a walking stick. But go and stay with the people that you’ll be spreading the word to. He tells them that there will be many dangers, and they will surely be persecuted.

Obviously each of us has a different calling. Not all of us were meant to go out into the world to spread God’s word. But this is mine, and here I go. Please help me achieve this goal. Even if you’re not Christian, surely you can see the good that will be done, and the lives that will be helped and saved.
