Well, it’s one month down… Kinda… one short month (3 weeks). This month was a nice ease into what the next 10 months is going to be. I am not saying that it was a walk in the park or anything it still had it’s challenges for sure but it was more easygoing then I expected. Here are some highlights I had from the last month
1) Meet Siman, he was a minister here in Penang who is working on starting a hospital ministry called Compassion out here. He and His family live in Indonesia so he comes our to Penang for a few weeks and then goes home to be with his family and then comes back. It’s a lot of travel but he knows this is where G-d wants him and he trusts the Lord in it. Siman is one of those men of G-d whom takes every moment to poor into the souls of others. To help and grow them. He was so great having some theological and philosophical discussions with. I learned so much from him about
2) Meet Andrew, He was the first guy I really hit it off with here in Penang that wasn’t part of staff. We met at the Soup kitchen ministry called Kawan that I’ve been working with this month. He’s full of joy and lights up every time he sees one of us. He loves people and it makes it impossible to have less then a 5 minute conversation with.
3) Meet Billy. Billy was a Englishmen that I also met at Kawan the last two days we were there. To get straight to the point Billy and I talked religion and philosophy for about 3 ½ hours straight Wednesday morning. I loved every moment of it. And though Billy didn’t exactly have a life change moment right there at Kawan I could tell G-d was working on his heart. I know the Lord spoke thru our conversation. I gave him a bible and a devotional before he left and he is planning on reading thru the gospels on his flight to Indonesia. I have his contact information and I hope G-d will continue to use me to speak into his life. PLEASE BE PRAYING FOR HIM!
4) Turtle beach! We took a little hike to a beach nearby on the Island it was soo great. I found a coconut lying right there on the beach that we enjoyed together and we swam in the Indian Ocean while it stormed. I kinda felt like Tom Hanks.
Well those are the quick highlights that I wanted to mention, there is soo much more that I wanted to talk about but it would honestly turn into a book. And that’s only after 3 weeks! Hory crap! I will have so much I am going to have to process when these 11 months are all over!
